Made in Berlin by BRAUN Lighting Solutions – simply better light.

The initial situation:

The Phoenix Park (Irish: Páirc an Fhionn-Uisce) is Dublin’s green lung. With an area of 707 hectares and an enclosing wall 11 kilometres long, it is one of the largest inner-city parks in the world. The residences of the Irish President, the US Ambassador, the guest house for state guests and the headquarters of the Irish police are located here. Established in the 17th century as a royal game reserve, the park is still home to free-roaming red deer today. The park’s paths are flanked by around 220 historic lights. Their warm white, golden yellow light gives the park a special nocturnal appearance.

The customer’s wish:

By installing new switching technology, we can significantly save energy and reduce maintenance costs.

Our solution:

Many of the Gas light were realised by the installation of our switching system BS-N brought up to the latest technical standard. This has reduced energy consumption per luminaire by 400 kilowatt hours per year. The system developed in 2001 is extremely reliable. This is also demonstrated by the fact that over 15,000 units have now been sold to various customers in Europe.
