The initial situation:
In the south of Berlin, bbg Berliner Baugenossenschaft e.G. maintains a residential neighbourhood with several hundred residential units. The modern and child-friendly estate has extensive green spaces in the inner courtyards and beautifully laid out footpaths.

The customer’s wish:
The entire area was to be equipped with energy-efficient and bright pathway lighting. To achieve this, the outdated existing lights in the inner courtyards of the housing estate were to be replaced with state-of-the-art, energy-efficient LED lights. A glare-free lighting solution with high energy-saving potential was important to the client, the Berlin building co-operative. Ideally, 50 % energy should be saved compared to the old lighting (approx. 80 W per HQL luminaire).

Our solution:
Our post-top luminaire was used NewNight FlexPIN LED, which were produced in-house. This luminaire impressed with its excellent price-performance ratio and was able to prevail over competitor products at several sampling appointments on site. By using special secondary optics, the symmetrical and asymmetrical light distributions required by the client were optimally realised. The requirement for energy savings of more than 50 % compared to the old lights was exceeded. With a system connected load of just 30 watts, the energy saving is around 65 % per light point.
