The initial situation:
Bodensee-Airport Friedrichshafen is one of the largest airports in Baden-Württemberg. All modern commercial aircraft, such as the Airbus A319, A320, A321 and Boeing B737, take off and land here.

The customer’s wish:
At the beginning of 2018, BRAUN received the order to convert the existing mast-mounted floodlights on the apron to LED technology.

Our solution:
We used a large number of our OptimaLine4-Strahler. All the masts on the apron of the airport were retrofitted with our floodlights in record time to the great satisfaction of the client. Of course, all OptimaLine4-Strahler manufactured directly by us, which means that a later supply of spare parts or maintenance is no problem.

Thanks to our innovative lighting technology and the high CO2 savings, the airport operating company received a certificate from the National Climate Protection Initiative at the beginning of 2019 for the project “Conversion of lighting on apron 2 to LED”.
