The initial situation:
Lake Constance Airport Friedrichshafen is one of the largest airports in Baden-Württemberg. All modern commercial aircraft, such as the Airbus A319, A320, A321 and Boeing B737, take off and land here.

The customer’s request:
At the beginning of 2018, BRAUN received an order to convert the existing mast floodlights on the apron to LED technology.

Our solution:
A large number of our OptimaLine4 spotlights were used. All the masts on the apron of the airport were retrofitted with our floodlights in record time to the great satisfaction of the client. Of course, all OptimaLine4-Strahler manufactured directly by us, which means that a later supply of spare parts or maintenance is no problem.

Thanks to our innovative lighting technology and the high CO2 savings, the airport operating company received a certificate from the National Climate Protection Initiative at the beginning of 2019 for the project “Conversion of lighting on apron 2 to LED”.
