Made in Berlin by BRAUN Lighting Solutions – simply better light.

Initial situation:
The Britzer Garten in the south of Berlin was created for the Federal Garden Show in the 1980s. The 90-hectare landscape park is one of the most popular excursion destinations for Berliners and tourists alike, offering a wide range of leisure and recreational activities. We successfully implemented two lighting projects here in 2014/2015: Firstly, the pathway lighting at the Buckower Damm entrance was to be converted to energy-efficient LED lighting. On the other hand, a sculpture in the entrance area was to be effectively staged using small LED spotlights.

The customer’s wish:
The existing path lights at the entrance were to be retained, but upgraded to the latest energy-efficient LED technology.

Our solution:
The six historic lamp posts with mercury vapour lamps were first extensively refurbished by us, including sandblasting and painting. Finally, the luminaires were replaced by our energy-efficient BeeLED-Aufsatzleuchten replaced in order to make significant energy savings in the future. The forecourt now shines in the best light and electricity consumption and CO2 emissions have been reduced many times over. In addition, the lighting for the work of art from 1984 in front of the entrance to the Britzer Garten was realised with our LED PIN-Modulen supplemented. The installation of two PIN-Modulen The installation of a new light on the roof of an existing pathway luminaire has significantly improved visibility at reasonable energy costs. The weatherproof, dimmable LED-Kleinstrahler each consume only 25 watts and can be easily aligned thanks to the magnetic ball joint. Another highlight is that the sculpture can be illuminated in colour at events thanks to the programming and control unit.
